Day-of-performance discount tickets for many Broadway and Off-Broadway shows may be purchased at the new TKTS booth located in Duffy Square (47th St & Broadway) and in Lower Manhattan at the South Street Seaport (at the corner of John & Front Sts). Payment is by cash, travelers checks, and credit cards.

The booths are operated by the Theatre Development Fund, a non-profit service organization. Discounts are either 25 or 50 percent off the full price of the ticket, and there is a service charge of $3.00 per ticket. The letter D next to a listing indicates Drama.

All available tickets are posted on boards outside the ticket windows. Changes in availability can occur on an hourly basis as cooperating theatres supply or withdraw tickets, depending on box office demand. For more information, call 1(212) 768-1818 or visit www.tdf.org.

TKTS Times Square hours of sale:
Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri & Sat for 8pm performances: 3pm - 8pm

Tues for 7pm and 8pm performances: 2pm - 7pm for 7 o'clock curtains and 2pm - 8pm for 8 o'clock curtains.

Wed & Sat for 2pm matinees: 10am - 2pm

Sun for all performances: 11am - 7pm

At this TKTS location only, matinee tickets must be bought the day before. For example, Wednesday matinee tickets must be bought on Tuesday; Saturday matinee tickets bought on Friday; and Sunday matinee tickets bought on Saturday.
