The PIT

ThisPIT-bar-11 powerhouse of comedy rivals any club in the city. Many of its shows are sketch or improv, but it also has stand-up and variety shows including “The Stone and Stone Show,” “Running Late with Scott Rogowsky” and “Cold Soda.” ($5 and $10 shows)

The Peoples Improv Theater, or The P.I.T., was established in New York City in 2002. The PIT’s shows include improvisational comedy and sketch comedy.

stonesThe Stone twins perform stand-up together and have been featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, a series of national Verizon FiOS commercials and in videos on Comedy Central. They have performed at comedy clubs and theaters throughout New York and Los Angeles, including the UCB Theater, Carolines, the Laugh Factory, and the New York Friars Club, where they have roasted people including Larry King, George Takei and Dennis Rodman. The Stone brothers host their regular “Stone and Stone Show” on the last Monday of every month at the PIT.
